The Most Important Thing
There's one thing that is more important, that matters absolutely. That is your state of consciousness and whether or not you have awakened to what we call the transcendent dimension of consciousness.
— Eckhart Tolle

It's been at least ten years since I started describing my experience as an inner leader journey. The transcendent dimension of consciousness is a relatively recent phenomenon, and I'll have more to say on that topic below.

While I have no recollection of where I first encountered the idea of the inner leader path, when I read Synchronicity and met Joseph Jaworski in 2014, it was a concept I fully bought into.

It seemed to describe what I was experiencing exactly and has been a great guide in navigating my journey.

But for the last three years, I have felt that this journey is much bigger than leadership. I've had conversations with colleagues who have said the same thing and are going through similar experiences. I'm sure some of you are too.

Hence, when I started to think about how to organize my writing that was emerging here at SpaceB, I organized the topics into six different categories: awareness, dialogue, forward thinking, journey, leadership, and mind.

So does leadership adequately describe what I'm experiencing and the best way to describe it in communicating with others? Frankly, leadership is just a small part of it. But I've lacked the words and understanding to describe it any differently.

There are almost infinite ways leadership is defined, and the word seems to cover a lot of ground, so I think it's a way that works for now and is approachable for most people.

A clue, perhaps

I recently encountered this interesting quote from Eckhart Tolle:

"There's one thing that is more important, that matters absolutely. That is your state of consciousness and whether or not you have awakened to what we call the transcendent dimension of consciousness."

Now, I'm not sure how to evaluate my state of consciousness, but the transcendent dimension of consciousness is a concept I now experience and have some level of understanding. This is a topic I wrote about in my last post last week, The System Holds Us Back.

In the article, I wrote about my first encounter with transcendence when I witnessed it during an interview. As I witnessed and now experience it, you might describe it as disconnecting from the thinking mind and connecting to a source of greater intelligence beyond the mind.

We gain access to new knowledge and wisdom that we've never encountered before and would have no way of knowing. This appears to be where I write these posts and from and where Space Beyond Boundaries originated.

More and more, the seed of an idea shows up. Sometimes it's a chance encounter with something I'm reading, a recommendation from a colleague, or just a random thought. The writing process begins, and I can't let go of it until it's done.

I call the path to get to transcendence awareness. As we impact our awareness, we experience the space beyond thinking, where we observe our own minds. We get out of our own way.

Instead of the voice in our head reacting and directing what's next based on our past experiences, we allow something new to show up from beyond the mind.

Of course, this not only allows transcendence. It also starts to completely change how we perceive the world and interact with others, our creativity, etc., in an untold number of ways.

Accelerating Awareness

Join our workshop on June 6 or June 15, 2023

In a recent post, More Than Meets the Eye, I mentioned that the SpaceB cards we feature in our posts invoke a surprising level of activity, open-mindedness, and expanded discussion among our workshop participants.

I also mentioned how the Golden Ratio is central to our design philosophy and process. And there might be some very interesting intersections with David Bohm and his style of dialogue, which we practice.

We tap into a deeper and more profound shared understanding by engaging in visually and inner-directed inspired dialogue to expand our perspective.

The visual aspects complement and augment the verbal and non-verbal exchange, facilitating a more holistic and multi-dimensional experience.

These images also serve as points of reference, evoking a sense of harmony and interconnectedness and potentially supporting participants in transcending their individual perspectives to explore shared understanding.

But we encourage you to see for yourself to see what you experience and think. Our two quarterly workshops on Awareness begin this week on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. The second event occurs on June 15, 2023.

This is a series of workshops we run for our sponsor members. If you are not a sponsor, learn more and sign up on the Membership page. We also open these sessions up for free to those who have never attended one of our workshops.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on anything in this newsletter today and explore how we might bring more awareness to you and your world.

Here's to increasing our awareness and creating a better life and world!
